Announcing Virtual Maine Fiddle Camp

Hi everyone. Strange times. If you haven’t already done so, click the play button above to hear what Doug has to say. YES, Maine Fiddle Camp is alive and well and we plan to keep you all busy and entertained this season. As Doug says, we plan to offer “virtual” versions of just about all your favorite MFC activities this summer. Lessons with your favorite instructor, jams, workshops, variety shows, concerts, Maestro Bistro, maybe even old time country dancing and singing around the campfire!! Most of this will happen around the normal time of camp in June and August, but we are starting to plan events to lead up to that. The initial Virtual Maestro Bistro hosted by Neil Pearlman will be on Friday, May 15 from 6-7:15 PM. Then we will offer online lessons starting with a fiddle lesson for levels 4-5 by Elaine Malkin on Saturday, May 16. We are still working out all the details but we will keep you updated (on how to sign up or sign on) with weekly newsletter mailings as well as postings on our website and FaceBook. So check back often!! Most of these offerings will be FREE to campers but you can help underwrite the project with a tax-deductible donation to Maine Fiddle Camp. To do that via PayPal, click here, or if you prefer, you can send a check to Doug at his address listed on the website under “contact us”.
