In Memoriam, Dudley Laufman
February 7, 1931 – July 13, 2026
Dudley Laufman, longtime supporter of Maine Fiddle Camp and famous contra and square dance musician and caller for over 7 decades, left this earth July 13 in the home in Canterbury, NH that he built in 1959. He was 95. Dudley called and played for his last dance – a party at his home – on May 3rd.
One of the many ways MFC is celebrating Dudley Laufman is by playing his compositions and favorite tunes for the dances every night at camp. Every afternoon we will have a workshop to learn them.
